Bruce Kaupanger is a retired teacher who built his art studio across the street from his house and has been busy ever since. He has traveled extensively, as well, and has been influenced by artists in the American Southwest, Japan and Europe. His intrigue of raku pottery has grown and he is experimenting with different glazes with the combination of horsehair in his works.
“I make hand thrown raku pottery. I add different textures, stones and horsehair to create visual interest.”
He does several art fairs in the area. Some of his pots are available at Arts in Hand Gallery in Spooner WI.
