Student art reception at Arts in Hard Gallery for Michael Chido

SPOONER – Spooner High School senior Michael Chido is the featured student artist in Arts in Hand Gallery from April 9-May 21. The public is invited to an opening reception at the gallery on Saturday, April 9, from 4 to 8 p.m. at 210 Walnut St., downtown Spooner.
Chido enjoys showing realism in his art and has been focusing on creating artwork with reflections. He has been experimenting with charcoal to show highlights and shadows. He likes to challenge himself to replicate exactly what he sees.
Chido is part of Spooner High School art teacher Christine Sik’s AP art class this year. Sik said, “I appreciate the time that Michael invests in each of his artworks as he adds details and refines each piece.”
